Though my school has a very strong focus on literacy, we do not have an official library for students to access grade-level texts. My classroom library is made up of books that I have purchased on my own as well as school-purchased materials (from 2016). I loop with my students from 6th to 7th grade so unfortunately my students often do not get new reading material. I would love a classroom library with new books that features diverse material to help instill a love of reading. My students love our classroom novels and I would like to provide them with other novels to further challenge them as readers.
