My school is considered a title one school. I consider my students special because many of them are economically disadvantaged, they have huge reading and learning barriers. I work extremely hard with and for my students to try and close their learning gaps. I have seen my students scores jump over 30 points between standardized testing due to my consistency and wiliness to see them become successful in school despite their so called stereotype or lack of inward motivation. I've had a chance to see my students become writers! and better readers this year. That by its self makes being a teacher a true blessing.
