I have old, broken chairs in my classroom that take up a lot of space in an already small portable structure. These dynamics oftentimes pose a hinderance to my small group instruction that I must provide on a daily basis. The goal is to eliminate this physical hinderance, making it easier to conduct small group instruction to facilitate my students’ learning. I’d like seating (specifically Wobble Chairs) that will allow my students to meet comfortably in small groups so we can focus on the skills needed to help improve their reading and thus impact their other subjects as well. I believe flexible seating (Wobble Chairs) will do just that. These seating options will allow students to move and release nervous energy (often displayed by struggling readers) allowing them to better focus on their reading.
