The demands and expectations we place on our 5 and 6 year olds continue to grow each and every year. This summer, I have spent a large amount of time looking into ways to make the content I am teaching more meaningful for my students. The IPEVO Interactive Whiteboard System will allow me to turn the whiteboard already in my classroom into a smartboard without the expensive cost of Smartboard Technology. My goal is to make the content interactive for them. By allowing them to manipulate the content I am teaching, and giving them a chance to do so in front of their peers, I am hopeful that the content will become more clear and allow them to make connections which in turn allows them to remember it more easily. Last year I invested in 2 osmos for my students in order to make their learning more hands on. However, our school shares 1 cart of iPads, which means they are a sparse commodity. This iPad would serve multiple purposes. First and foremost, it would allow one Osmo to be set up at all times for use in station work. In addition, we recently invest in the ESGI assessment testing, and this iPad would allow me to test my students by coming to them and doing it in a space they are comfortable in rather than standing at my desk.
