We will have 5 sections in our classroom. The flexible seating will be around the kitchen table/counter so they all can be included. We cook weekly and tie it into our science and math lessons. We have a sensory area that we hope to get lights and sensory boards put up. The sensory items will be a great addition. My students are sick often and they need items that are able to be sanitized. The self help section is where they check their grooming and complete daily activities. There will be a bedroom and laundry area for cleaning and sorting items. They complete daily chores and we concentrate on different skills monthly. . There will be a library for quiet independent reading and small group. My students are a special group and I hope to give them every chance to be successful while under my instruction.
