I am excited to use these new Stem Experiment Kits to encourage independent learning while creating positive peer relationships in the classroom. I am a seasoned teacher of 19 years, setting up a brand new classroom in a brand new school. This presents some financial challenges, but I was introduced to this Donors Choose Page and am thrilled to submit this project! Critical thinking Stem Kits, the magnetic kit, counting manipulatives, and science kits are a few of the educational items I would like to integrate into my classroom. STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real life lessons as students apply Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to make connections as they explore a hands on learning approach. When it comes to developing lifelong learners who can contribute in a positive way to their society there is no doubt that this can be achieved through incorporating STEM activities in the classroom. I am excited that with the help of my donors, I will be able to provide a "Hand on Approach" to promote an engaging classroom experience.
