Students in my classroom will use Chromebooks for their research projects and during our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) units. They would also aide in reading centers and could be used as a tool to help with struggling learners. It is very important to give students access to technology when they are young, after all it will be their future. It will also increase engagement and enhance student learning. As teachers, we are expected and required to incorporate technology into our lessons, but it is difficult when you are not provided with devices to use in your classroom. Currently, I have one teacher laptop provided by the school. It would be wonderful to have Chromebooks to support our children in their digital learning journey!
