My students need a place to gather for an essential part of our day, morning meeting. During this time every morning, we talk about key academic material such as spelling words, vocabulary words, and phonics skills we are currently working on. We go over important math skills daily such as counting, place value, and money. But perhaps the most important part of what we do during morning meeting is build our classroom community. We sing songs, dance, share stories, and play games. Beginning our morning with communicating and playing with each other helps to builld our classroom community and makes my students excited to come to school each morning! We would love to have the stools as a flexible seating option while working in groups, and also for partnering up during our writing workshop.
