Our Montessori classroom is full of beautiful, engaging materials created to reinforce learning by providing hands-on, manipulatives that allow children to comprehend abstract concepts in a concrete way. Unfortunately, due to the demands of today's society, these materials are not enough to ensure the future success of all children. With the high emphasis of technology on our daily lives, children need exposure to digital literacy. This can only be accomplished through having access to technology in the classroom. Our classroom of 27 children currently contains two outdated tablets. We are in need of two Samsung Chromebooks to provide our students the ability to research topics of study, take online tests, develop keyboarding and word processing skills and have access to online educational resources. This will be the start of creating a digital library in our classroom. Your support of this project is greatly appreciated!
