These materials will make the ultimate difference in my student's educational experience. They are already familiarized with 1:1 technology integration and a level of autonomy which promotes strong small group collaboration and drawing real-world parallels between our math and science pursuits. With the addition of these learning aids, it will both introduce these students to the further outside world, and enable them to work in an environment crafted for cognitive tranquility. Some specific materials include, Balance Ball - Flexible School Chair and the Surf Portable Lap Desk . These allow for students to work in a variety of ways within the classroom, and feed their kinesthetic learning needs as well. For example, ball chairs were developed as a way to strengthen core muscles and improve posture while sitting; while studies show that more complexity and intentionality in classroom setup builds student both engagement and curiosity. With strong differentiation in mind, we're building an environment which will foster student curiosity and enable them to work in an environment which promotes a calming thinking space and growth mindset.
