Most of my students come from low income families in rough neighborhoods. The school consists mainly of African American students and there is a high percentage of Free and Reduced lunch students. School is most of my student's safe haven. Most of my students lack the educational support at home, especially homework. Their favorite time of the day is reading centers because they have the opportunity to work collaboratively through different reading activities. My students are at different reading levels. In a positive note, my students have great team work skills and are always willing to learn.
