These books and supplies will enable readers in my classroom to reach their full potential. As a second year teacher, I have not been able to grow a classroom library that meets the reading needs of my students. The small library I have gathered after my first year is something students crave to spend time in. They treat our books with love and care because they are items the students truly cherish. I have chosen these books with students in mind- varied levels from kindergarten-third grade. I have also included genres and topics that my students are interested in, such as animals. I can only hope that with your help, my students can grow as independent readers.
The best way to become a great reader is PRACTICE, which is exactly what these stories will allow my students to do. They are extremely eager and excited to grow. Being able to have a large classroom library where any student in my classroom can choose their level and interest would mean the world to them, and me!
