Our classroom is in desperate need of technology. There are so many good resources that our students have the ability to use, but no way to access it. We currently have one working desktop and one that works about half the time. If we had this technology, we would be able to implement a technology station. Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. It would be beneficial for them to have the extra practice, but also to have exposure. In second grade they start taking assessments on the computer, but have limited knowledge of how to use one. With access to the computers, my students will be able to utilize multiple online resources to help enrich their learning. Websites like First in Math and i-Ready are wonderful tools that allow students to review skills in a fun, engaging manner.
