My classes are support classes for kids who have goals in math and study skills. We'd like to create resource notebooks to help them learn study skills and math strategies needed for middle school. Resource notebooks include student-created pages of info- we use color to illustrate each math concept. We also plan to do as many hands-on math activities as possible, so we are looking for math equation tiles to help us practice our skills. Many students in my classes have struggled with online learning, and need physical materials to re-engage with school this year. Online work is great, but we sometimes need a break to use our brains in different ways! Students this year are putting in a great deal of effort and excitement in in-person learning in the classroom.
