This project is going to help my students become better readers. We are shifting to the Science of Reading and these decodable readers will help my students practice the skills they will be taught during phonics instruction. We have been using leveled readers during our guided reading time. Leveled readers don't let my students practice their decoding skills like decodable readers do. I want to grow my students love of reading and help them be able to read anything that they want. Learning to decode words will help them when they are reading text for enjoyment.
