In my classroom, we are using an old rug and some carpet from my house we ripped up. Our new rug will be the focus of our classroom, a staple of our daily activities. My goal is to create a spot for our group time, somewhere where we will always meet safely and comfortably for all subject areas, with more than enough room to include everyone. Having this rug will make it a great meeting spot for our greeting time, work time, and playing. It will improve the aesthetic quality of our learning environment and offer spaces that will reduce seating-related conflict.
