Having new tools in the classroom will allow students to use various representations, concrete models, and abstract thinking, at their own rate. To be able to explore new entry points and explain their thinking to peers and be proud of their findings. The cuisenaire rods, math link cubes, and dice will help students use visuals to make sense of problems. The pencils, notebooks, and markers will help the artist draw their thinking. The large easel paper will allow students to show their thinking and display student work, which also allows students to critique and receive insight of their peers' methods.
