My kids vary not only in age, but academically as well. We are a "last resort" program for children that may have been expelled from their home school for various reasons, live in group homes, are on probation, physically, emotionally or mentally challenged. I will be teaching kids grades 6-12, but have three students that cannot read. I would like to provide them withe necessary tools to begin reading and writing. I would also like to teach the students organizational skills, behavioral, self care, along with English. This is why I have chosen some of the boxes, organizational shelves, etc. Pencils, erasers, markers, glue, scissors are for projects we will work on in groups or individually. Books are for downtime, reading aloud, assigned reading, etc. boxes, crates, easels, and such are for keeping the classroom neat and organized and teaching the children how to do the same.
