I am requesting a new classroom carpet that will be a gathering place for the class. We will be spending a lot of our day here together. My Kindergartners do not spend a lot of their time at their desks but rather moving, singing, dancing, sharing and learning at the carpet. We start our day and end end our day together at our carpet. We learn to share space, respect our friends and have fun when we are together on our carpet. It is a place to help students feel comfortable in their classroom environment. Our tile floors are very cold especially in Ohio winters. A new classroom carpet will help create our classroom community!
