BINcA is starting a bi-weekly Advisory meeting. Every staff member in the building will have a small group of 6-10 students to connect with twice a week. Our goal is to foster relationships and provide preventative social-emotional learning. Advisory is uncharted territory!! Teachers and students need resources that will help start conversations, that will inspire collaboration, creativity, and connectedness. We are hoping you'll help us obtain and test out question games and card decks about mindfulnes, gratitude, and even yoga (gasp!). We need markers and chart paper to create art representing this special group we're creating. We need books that help teachers understand our students on a social and emotional level, not just an academic level! All of the materials for this project will go towards building a safe, supportive space for our students who live complicated lives. This is new for us, but we know it will be wonderful.
