All the materials that I am asking for my students is for them to have a better experience in our physical environment. All these materials will be use during our literacy stations with happen once a day for an hour. The high stools will be place in an area designated for the reading station. At this time my students have rolling chairs at that station in which sometimes is hard to stay on task because the chairs keep moving. The organizer cart will be helpful to place all the materials and activities that are needed during this time of the day. The clipboards and whiteboards will help create creative activities in which the students can experience different academic games and school work. The laminating sheets will be useful for me to print out activities for the different stations, and instead of printing so many copies I will just laminate them, so the students can reuse them with expo markers. Also the iPad cases that we have so far are hard to manage by the students as they have to take the iPad out of the case every time they want to plug the head phones. With the type of cases that we have, the students are basically using the iPads without a case. The microphone recorder will be used during buddy reading in which two students are pair, they will read a book and then when they're finished they will record themselves and tell the beginning, middle and end of the story. The instant camera will be use in another station for students to explore technology in the classroom, by capturing moments. The donations to this project will help my students be more comfortable and enjoy each literacy station.
