Historical Fiction is one of the best ways to hook students for history. Without interest, learning something is not very enjoyable and doesn't usually stick. Blood on the River is not only historically accurate, but it is also a thrilling story that will capture the student's interest in our country's beginning, which will affect the amount of learning that takes place. With this class set of books, each student will be able to engage in the events that took place in Jamestown from 1607-1610. History will become alive for my students as they are transported back to the life of a boy who survived the unsurviveable.
