In my classroom, I want to create a space where students can keep their belongings organized. A mailbox system will allow me to quickly collect, grade, and pass back work so students can receive prompt feedback and maximize their learning time in the classroom. Classroom mailboxes allow kids to keep their notes and other work in the classroom, so they always know where to find it. It gives them a space to call their own and eliminates the grade comparison that often happens when papers are passed back to students during class. From the teacher's point of view, mailboxes allow me to spend class time teaching, not passing back papers. The system will give me more time to care for my students and help meet their individual needs so they can focus on content while in class.
