At our school, each classroom has a cart with laptops for student use. These laptops are used on a daily basis, however, it can still get noisy when 25 kids are on at the same time listening and responding to individualized instruction. In addition, The theme for my class this year is global citizenship and headphones will allow them to listen to messages from their pen pals without distracting other students’ learning. Having headphones will allow students to stay focused on their own instruction and will aid in my students being able to quietly and efficiently communicate with their pen pals.
