My Kindergarten through fifth grade English language learners need a variety of opportunities to access the language through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Technology offers an engaging pathway to language acquisition. I want my students to have the opportunity to record their speech and increase their listening comprehension using headphones with microphones. These headphones are an educational tool that reduce distractions, increase attention and engagement and allow for differentiation. The ability to record gives my students an opportunity to improve their oral fluency while I'm able to progress monitor their use of English conventions. These tools will help us build a successful language learning environment for all!
