These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because we will have more room in the classroom. First, the storage sacks will give the students a place for their books and other supplies instead of on the floor. Second, the rug will give my students an area to meet with a peer to pair read and discuss text, as well as a meeting place for small groups to work together. Third, the headphones will enable them to fully concentrate on the task that they are working on while they are at the computers for centers and writing without the distraction of background noises. They will also alleviate the need for the students on the computers to turn up the volume in order to hear over regular classroom noise. Finally, the privacy folders will enable students to concentrate on their assessments instead of being disturbed/distracted by the person sitting next to or across from them.
