My class is struggling with reading. They spend the majority of their reading time picking out books. My hope is that this variety of books will encourage them to sit and read. The years of Covid have taken a toll on my early readers. The only way to get better at reading is by reading. I have found students to be most interested in nonfiction books. Many of these books will encourage my students to read as well as learn about the world in which they live. It will be a win-win for everyone.
