Over half of my students have aspirations to become scientists or work in the medical field. I want to continue to inspire them and give them the tools to reach their dreams. In the elementary classroom, science has become less and less of a focus, and I want to change that. Students love to learn through exploration and discovery, and with these tools they will be able to do just that. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student exposure to the sciences, you will ultimately help to increase their overall academic achievement and school experience. Your donation will go towards purchasing a We do Core 2.0 LEGO Education set. "LEGO® Education Solutions for primary school provide the engaging, hands-on experiences students need to explore core STEM concepts and link them to real-life phenomenon. LEGO® bricks, programming tools, and supporting lesson plans for teachers ignite students natural curiosity, helping them develop essential communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking-skills in a fun and exciting way. Tactile, flexible solutions grow with students as they problem-solve and discover how science, technology, engineering, and math affect their everyday life." Your donation will also help to purchase a class set of TIME for Kids. "TIME for Kids has published a weekly magazine for elementary school students. With exclusive access to TIME’s award-winning content, TIME for Kids is uniquely positioned to teach kids to recognize and value authentic and trustworthy journalism."
