My classroom culture is built around cultivating student growth and autonomy. With flexible seating, students have the choice where they want to sit in the classroom. This instills the belief that the classroom is a safe space for learning to occur. The classroom transforms from Mr. O's class to EVERYONE's classroom. Flexible seating has shown to boost student morale and collaboration between students (even the shy ones!) I have chosen to commit to flexible seating for the 2019-2020 school year because it fits my teaching style and how I anticipate students to grow. K-2 students like to be active! You are giving them the opportunity to move around in the classroom and engage with their school work in whatever way they are most comfortable. Classroom organization is KEY to the success of a flexible seating classroom and with the materials, I have listed, students will thrive in our classroom. Please consider donating so students will achieve their goals and grow!
