The academic demands of kindergarten have increased in recent years. Sometimes, students lack the fine motor development they need to meet these demands. Fine motor development goes beyond practicing with paper and pencil. By providing students with daily fine motor practice when they arrive each morning, I am hoping to improve fine motor skills! The supplies I've requested, like tweezers, tongs, beads, and Wikki Stix, provide an engaging way to develop the skills and strength they need. Every morning, students will use the materials in this project as their morning work. Research shows that daily practice with fine motor tasks will lead to improved dexterity.
