Kindergarten is the year to begin reading and writing. With your help in supplying books, notebooks, and whiteboards my students will have some of the beginning tools they need to learn. I believe the more opportunities my students have to write, they more comfortable they will becoming in both reading and writing. We would be using notebooks to do daily journal writing and whiteboards to practice writing letters, sight words, and some math work also! As a new teacher my book supply is low, however I am an avid believer in pushing my students to love reading and falling in love with books. Being able to add books to my classroom library will help me make reading a regular thing in my students' lives.
