These chapter books and diverse reads will help my students see the world from our classroom. It will take them to fictional places they have never been as well as give them a different viewpoint of the world. They will be used during both independent reading as well as whole class read alouds. I want each of my students to see themselves as characters in our classroom library. I try very hard to make sure that each of my students know they are loved and have a place in our class. Why shouldn't they feel that way in books too?
