These materials will make a difference in my students learning because students learn best when they are pursuing their interests. Through their play I have noticed their interest in all things transportation. I am requesting the Learning Resources Mini Motors Counting and Sorting Fun Set which will promote patterning and sorting, two essential early math skills. Additionally, these children often struggle socially and the process of building with the LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick Box allow for practicing sharing and processing through conflicts. The Battat Take-Apart Airplane and Take-Apart car will support problem solving skills and beginning with the end in mind when approaching a task. We use the Creative Curriculum at our center and do Project Work as well. In an effort to provide children with an opportunity to explore a car or plane project that they might be interested in we need the resources. Therefore, the 100-piece Triple-loop Wooden Train Set, green Toys Ferry Boat with Mini Cars, and the matching puzzles can provide a foundation on which they may begin a much larger more in depth study.
