This rug provides each student with a place to sit when learning. Most of our learning in Core 1 (TK/K) takes place on the rug, and students need a spot that both the teacher and the student can easily identify. This rug allows students to have enough space in order to stay focused on doing their best learning, without worrying about bumping their neighbor. The colored rows on this rug also allows students to know exactly where their spot is, and makes collaboration easier, as I can dismiss "dark blue row" to work together as group. Overall, this rug helps create structure and consistency, so that students can focus on important learning, instead of their rug spot.
