The timers will help students time themselves for reading fluency as well as multiplication fluency. Fluency practice is essential to learning retention. My students will really benefit from the use of these in small learning groups. Students will be able to use the scissors to use in their reading, math, science, and social studies interactive journals, as well as for art. Having scissors to use that are appropriate size will encourage students to do their best work. The five colors of the scissors will be great to see which scissors are their color group. Both items will be very useful to students in years to come!
