The Sensory items that are on my list to purchase will help meet my students Sensory processing needs. I have put into my plan to purchase Sensory items such as weighted toys, fidgets, shades for the lights, and the list goes on. These items may seem small, but to a child with a Sensory processing disorder, that weighted toy may be just what he/she needs in order to play in a functional way. Another great example are the light shades on my list. We desperately need these in are classroom. I think that it will offer a more calming effect.
