I am requesting virtual reality headsets for real world experiences to enhance science and social studies content that will break down barriers and bring new experiences to the classroom. The students will incorporate working with technology at school which will open their mind to other technology inquiries and possibilities. The students will also use the headsets for field trips and to build background knowledge since most of them have very little exposure. Imagine putting together a Tyrannosaurus rex from fossil bones, and then go back millions of years to when the dinosaur lived, or virtually walk through the home that hid Anne Frank, including the space where she and her family lived, or be in Neil Armstrong's seat during the moon landing of Apollo 11 in 1969, and even take a walk along the Moon's surface!
