My students learn through play and communicating with their peers. They develop socially and emotionally by learning how to communicate in small groups during play. The construction set in a box, lacing activity and puzzle that I have chosen will also strengthen fine motor skills that my students need to develop in order to hold a pencil and begin learning to write. Kindergarteners enter school with many different life experiences and levels of development. Through play and student collaboration in the classroom my students will grow together to develop many skills to obtain a solid foundation for their future learning.
