Kindergarteners come to school eager to learn - eager to READ - and part of our reading block is private reading and buddy reading. Because we sit flexibly in our classroom, not always in chairs and at tables or desks, the children get a choice of where they'd like to sit to best work on their reading skills. A lot of the time, children love to sit on the floor - but without a comfortable spot they become fidgety and distracted! These seat spots will help them to sustain their reading and be the super readers they are working on becoming - without distraction or discomfort!
