The materials that I am requesting are Sunshine State Readers that are selected by the State of Florida for elementary students. Some examples are Wish, The Great Treehouse War, and Podkin One-Ear. I also want to introduce the students to the Who Was and Where Was series. It is my goal to motivate students to grow as readers and to introduce them to good literature. In 3rd grade, the students are motivated by Reading Counts to earn points. I want to make sure I have plenty of books in my room for the students to select during silent reading time.
