My students need Fairy Tales Problem Solving STEM kit, Feel & Find Sensory Tubsm Simple Machines Activity Lab and Touch & Read CVC Word Match to support literacy and mathematics. Creating hands on experiences provides a positive learning experience for my students. These materials support my students physically manipulating materials to learn the Common Core State standards. STEM activities are a great tool to help my students become engineers and problem solvers. These tools will help my students become active problem solvers in the classroom and in the community. The sensory bins are to help the students I have who are cognitively delayed and would benefit from learning alphabet recognition and phonemic awareness through hands on manipulatives. The CVC formation kit will help my students work on their pointing and blending of sounds for words while also understanding that words match pictures in texts and in the world.
