A classroom library with a wide variety of books will help my students gain a love of reading and strengthen their reading skills. Strong reading skills begin in first grade and will carry them throughout their entire academic career. Unfortunately, these students have been affected by the pandemic their entire schooling. They have lost a countless day of in person learning which has caused some to fall behind. My desire is for my classroom to be full of exciting books to grow my student's love of reading. A wide variety of text at their reading level will allow all students to strengthen their reading skills!
