My students have a love for the things that are not typically taught at my elementary school. I introduce and expose them to technology, art, and music. I have gone to training in each of these disciplines in order to keep my students well rounded in the “arts” that are not always a focus in education. The arts not only educate students about the world around them, but it teaches them discipline, self-confidence, hard work, and individuality and it is a critical component in a well-rounded education. My students would benefit greatly from an iPad that they could use to utilize music apps to help write and create music. Recorders would be a great hands-on instrument to get students started learning notes and creating music as well. I want my students'​ compassion for the arts to be ongoing and always be a part of their education. I want to bring the arts back to the elementary level and my students deserve that opportunity.
