The materials given to us will be used the first fifteen days of school in both fifth grade classrooms. We hope to teach our students empathy, compassion, courage, acceptance and more. We are hoping to accomplish this through reading "Wonder" at the beginning of the year and five deep into discussions to strengthen our student culture in fifth grade. Students will be given opportunities to discuss thoughts, ideas and opinions, as well as write and answer rigorous questions based on the prompt. We also want students to make connections at home as well, by sharing personal experiences and being the change in this world by advocating for others.
