This carpet will help create a functional space in my classroom for my students to utilize throughout the day.A carpet will allow for my students be assigned to their own personal square, allowing them to have a consistent place to sit. They will sit on their square during whole group instruction for both math and reading, morning meeting times, as well as a fun place to relax during their center time. The color of the carpet helps create a calming atmosphere and different shapes and colors on the carpet allows for my students minds to grow while just sitting down.
