"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."- Fred Rogers Building early literacy skills is the foundation for growing young learners into strong readers and writers. This includes vocabulary and communication skills and phonological awareness skills. These skills are acquired best when children can have real experiences through purposeful play. Learning through play has a tremendous impact on young learners. Children are most successful when they have the opportunity to use hands-on activities and materials while working collaboratively with one another. Learning through play also develops a child's social-emotional skills as well as math and science skills. Your donation will give my students the gift of learning through the joy of play.
