During the day I have the great privilege of teaching science to a truely wonderful bunch of students. My class explores science in a student centered inquiry based model where they are challenged to use data to come to conclusions about the world. They work in a collaborative setting that allows students of all socioeconomic backgrounds and ability levels to come together to achieve deeper understandings of the phenomena of the natural world. Outside on school hours my room plays host to the SEB STEM Cells. The STEM Cells are my brilliant young scholars who can be anything they dream of. My students are among the tops of their class and for many, they never experience a challenge in their typical curriculum. Through my program these exceptional scholars develop project based learning skills, dedication, perseverance, and an understanding of what it takes to solve what ever problems come their way.
