Students in fourth grade are learning how to take their skill of learning to read and make it reading to learn. One way they will accomplish this goal is by reading from a large selection of weather event books. This collection will be added to the classroom so that all students can have books in their hands while developing a knowledge of the weather event of their choice. The students will use these books to work in groups to present information to the class about their weather event and in the process learn how nonfiction structure effects how you read a text.
