These new chairs will provide a safe, comfortable chair that is conducive to the learning experiences provided in our classroom. Currently our chairs are outdated and unsafe as they are over thirty years. They are cracked and have missing screws which can cause disruptions to the learning process. Our current chairs are also only 12 inches tall and are often too small for today's children. Many of the students are uncomfortable trying to fit into these chairs. The 16 inch chairs are more appropriate to their growing size and allow them more leg room to stretch while sitting. Thank you for your consideration.
