Two years ago, I became a math coach and left all of the teaching furniture and supplies I had acquired over 19 years to the new teacher taking my place. Due to budget cuts, my position was eliminated and now I am headed back to a second grade classroom and am very excited to start the next school year with my students! This project is important because I want to provide my students with the best learning environment possible to meet their individual needs and learning styles. The rug will be used as a gathering place for morning meeting and as an alternate setting to conduct whole group and small group lessons. The floor cushions and stools will be used by students during independent work time. The yoga balls and wobble chairs will be used by students who may need a little movement in order to complete their best work.
